The Light Metals Technology (LMT) conference is held biannually and focuses on advances in the sciences and technologies associated with the development of aluminium, magnesium and titanium alloys, and their translation into commercial products. LMT2023 is a unique opportunity for researchers, students and industry members alike to gather and discuss innovative developments through the facilitation of cross-discipline networking and new collaborations.
LMT2023 is made possible thanks to the generosity of our sponsors. Thanks to them, we are able to deliver quality material, engage with respected associations, and attract a wide range of experts and leaders in their fields. Our sponsors provide us with resources, expertise and experience to create an event that goes above and beyond an average conference; with their help we are able to create an environment that fosters the flourishing of innovation and enables the sharing of information across disciplines.
The themes for the LMT2023 conference are Net Shape Manufacturing, Solid State Transformations and Mechanical Performance, and Translation to Applications. Within these three broad themes, speakers, sessions and presentations will focus on a range of topics, including alloy development, corrosion and surface modifications, joining, advanced characterisation techniques, mechanical behaviour of light alloys, and simulation and modelling. Guest speakers and presenters will come from a wide range of backgrounds and fields, providing the conference with unique perspectives and ideas.
